Ms. Chhay Sveng Chea Ath (President of CMA)
My name is Chhay Sveng Chea Ath with midwife bachelor degree. I was born in Phnom Penh in 1965. I’m married and live in Phnom Penh. I have been working for 35 years. Currently, I am a chief of Nursing Division of National Maternal and Child Health Center (NMCHC). I am also an advisor of training unit and a member of steering committee of NMCHC. In addition to this, I am a part-time lecturer at a midwifery school. Lastly, I have been a president of Cambodian Midwives Association since 2010.

The overall goal is to raise the professional standards of midwifery practice to the highest possible level.
Our Vision
The Cambodian Midwives Association (CMA) is recognised as the leading institution in midwifery profession to serve the public interest which aims to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity in Cambodia
Our Mission
To reach the vision, the Cambodian Midwives Association will ensure:

Provision of good care by midwifery professionals for women and children in all levels, especially in the community

Establishment and improvement of the implementation of midwifery professionals through the provision of the best quality to serve women, families and the community

Protection of rights and strengthening the role and responsibility of midwives with virtue, quality, honesty and effectiveness
